"The test of our progress is not whether we add to the abundance of those who have much. It is whether we provide enough to those who have little."

What is Freemasonry?

PDF Print E-mail

Freemasonry is the oldest Fraternity in the world. It is also the world’s largest secular, fraternal and charitable organization.

Freemasonry teaches moral lessons and self-knowledge through participation in a progression of allegorical two-part plays, which are committed to memory and performed within each lodge. Freemasonry offers its members an approach to life which seeks to reinforce thoughtfulness for others, kindness in the community, honesty in business, courtesy in society and fairness in all things. Members are urged to regard the interests of family as paramount. But Freemasonry also teaches and practices concern for people, care for the less fortunate, and help for those in need.
